Assystem UK is looking for an Integration Engineer- Whole Vehicle. Contracts until 31/12/10 on offer paying Limited company rate of £19.19 per hour based in Essex.

Position Description:
The Integration Engineer is responsible for the vehicle integration of a segment car line/cross brand technologies. The Integration Engineer reports to the Supervisor Vehicle Integration and cooperates with all relevant areas. Customer Evaluation Coordination
Study, request, and participate in customer feedback processes
Assist testing by providing relevant customer input
Support engineering evaluation teams at all phases of the program
Arrange drive appraisal logistics and evaluation
Provide technical support for marketing events Targets/DVP
Initiate ordering of competitor vehicles to establish program targets and objectives for vehicle attributes
Assist Total Vehicle Quality Function Deployment (QFD) process
Assist to propose targets for all vehicle attributes
Drive development and cascade of vehicle targets to design and development activities
Track current development status versus objectives
Develop and maintain Total Vehicle Design Verification Plan (DVP) and monitor completion leading to Total Vehicle Sign-Off
Monitor Vehicle Engineering related concerns and initiate resolution Attribute Trade-off
Support establishing, issuing and maintaining Target Book
Assist in identifying and coordinating interactions between activities to ensure functional image targets compatibility
Support attribute trade-off driven by PALS/Brand DNA Homologation / Certification Coordination Coordinate requirements between Homologation Office and Program Teams
Coordinate preparation of and conduct homologation/certification tests within Vehicle Engineering Check test results for compliance with requirements
Skills Required:
Total Vehicle Systems knowledge and attribute interaction knowledge must be demonstrateable. Ability to negotiate PC literate Full driving License
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of the client Systems & processes would be an advantage Commercial vehicle experience including driving with trailers would be an advantage
Experience Required:
Familiarity with Vehicle Engineering and understanding of vehicle attributes highly desired
Experience Preferred:
Experience in Test & Development environment desired
Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level. (although relevant experience will be considered as an alternative)
Education Preferred:
Driving Licence with Class E (trailers)
